I also travel a lot, as often as I can so I have up to date first hand experience in so many areas. Hi, I'm Katy Devia.  My love affair with travel started young, but it truly came alive during 3.5 years of living out of a backpack across Canada, the US, Europe, and the UK. I spent my winters chasing snow—working two snowboard seasons in Whistler, Canada, and two in the French Alps. My summers were just as unforgettable, backpacking through Europe, working on luxury power boats in the South of France, and even selling surf and snowboard gear in the UK. Those years taught me resilience, flexibility, and the pure magic of stepping into the unknown. I then headed back to the United States, where I lived and worked in Berkeley, California, for a year.

Later, love took me further south. Marrying a South American man opened my eyes to the vibrant, untamed beauty of Colombia. Over the years, I've soaked up the sun in the Pacific Islands, explored the streets of Hong Kong and Singapore, visited Bali, and even adventured deep into a gold mine in Borneo.

So, why did I become a travel agent? Honestly? Because I can't stop talking about it. After 15 years away from the industry raising my kids here in Nelson, I realised that my greatest joy is still helping others find that same spark I felt on my very first big adventure. I became a consultant not just to book trips, but to help people discover their perfect version of travel, whether that's heart-pumping adventure or total relaxation. My 'why' is simple: I want your memories to be as vivid as mine.

Travel has always ignited a deep passion within me. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to wander across distant lands and hidden gems, and my longing to explore continues to grow with every trip. After my time working in Florida, I've returned to the U.S. multiple times, and Philadelphia holds a special place in my heart—alive with history, bursting with vibrant culture, and so wonderfully easy to discover.

My journeys have taken me to London, Egypt, Jordan, and more recently, I’ve embraced the joy of exploring closer to home. I’ve been captivated by the awe-inspiring landscapes of Uluru and the Red Centre and mesmerized by the beauty of Heron Island in the southern reaches of the Great Barrier Reef. I’ve also fallen in love with the energetic pulse of Sydney and the breathtaking northwestern wonders of Tasmania—visiting Launceston, Cradle Mountain (even in summer, don’t forget your coat—the cold can surprise you), and Strahan.

As the dedicated Australia and Pacific specialist at our office, these adventures have not only broadened my horizons but have fuelled my passion to share these incredible experiences with others. I eagerly look forward to discovering more extraordinary destinations, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and creating unforgettable memories—wholeheartedly sharing that joy and passion with everyone I meet!
